For automatic installation:

The simplest way to install is to click on ‘Plugins’ then ‘Add’ and type ‘icon’ in the search field.

For manual installation 1:

1. Login to your website and go to the Plugins section of your admin panel.
2. Click the Add New button.
3. Under Install Plugins, click the Upload link.
4. Select the plugin zip file (icon.x.x.x.zip) from your computer then click the Install Now button.
5. You should see a message stating that the plugin was installed successfully.
6. Click the Activate Plugin link.

For manual installation 2:

1. You should have access to the server where WordPress is installed. If you don’t, see your system administrator.
2. Copy the plugin zip file (icon.zip) up to your server and unzip it somewhere on the file system.
3. Copy the «icon» folder into the /wp-content/plugins directory of your WordPress installation.
4. Login to your website and go to the Plugins section of your admin panel.
5. Look for «icon» and click Activate.

There are no complicated instructions for using Icon plugin, just edit your post / page and find icon generator button on top left of post editor.

1. Install the plugin either via the WordPress.org plugin directory, or by uploading the files to your server (in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory).
2. Activate the ThemeGrill Demo Importer plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.

Automatic installation

Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of Social Icons, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.

In the search field type “Social Icons” and click Search Plugins. Once you’ve found our demo importer plugin you can view details about it such as the the point release, rating and description. Most importantly of course, you can install it by simply clicking “Install Now”.

Manual installation

The manual installation method involves downloading our social icon plugin and uploading it to your webserver via your favourite FTP application. The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to do this here.

Updating

Automatic updates should work like a charm; as always though, ensure you backup your site just in case.

Exactly what I need. But the icons are really outdated (patreon and deviantart uses old icons and gitlab is absent)

other plugin not have line social but this plgin have and they also have shortcode to so perfect, you save my life

Drag and drop reordering of icons is buggy and hides the items.

• Installation option 1: Find and install this plugin in the Plugins -> Add new section of your wp-admin
• Installation option 2: Download the zip file, then upload the plugin through the wp-admin in the Plugins -> Add new section. Or unzip the archive and upload the folder to the plugins directory /wp-content/plugins/ via ftp

How to use Wow Icons Plugin?

Just edit your post / page and find icon generator button «Wow Icons» on the top left corner of post editor.
Select the options of icon and click button «Insert Icon».

How to add an icon to menu?

• Go to page Wow Icons
• Select icon fonts for menu and click «Save»
• Generate class of icon
• Go to Appearance -> Menus, select which menu item to which you want to add the icon, and add the icon class(es) under ‘CSS Classes (optional)’
• Save your menu

Why don’t I see an option to add classes?

Under Appearance -> Menus, click ‘Screen Options’ (top right of screen) and make sure that ‘CSS Classes’ is checked. If not — check it!

If a plugin is tested with up to 5.2. I kind of expected it to work with the default WordPress editor. Other wise it should clearly mention that this plugin requires you to install the classic editor plugin and use old WordPress editor in order to insert fonts.

There’s two ways to install Lightweight Social Icons.

1. Go to «Plugins > Add New» in your Dashboard and search for: Lightweight Social Icons
2. Download the .zip from WordPress.org, and upload the folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP.

In most cases, #1 will work fine and is way easier.

How do I add a widget with my icons?

Once the widget is added to a widget area, you can expand it and fill in your profiles.

What options does Lightweight Social Icons have?

• Choose your own order
• Title (optional): Choose a title for your widget.
• Icon size: Choose the size of the icon font.
• Border radius: Choose the border radius of the icon. Border radius refers to the «roundness» of the button.

In the select box on the left, choose your desired social media site.

To the right of the select box, enter in the URL of your profile on that specific social media site.

The «Skype» option takes your Skype username.

The «Phone» option takes your phone number.

Can I assign different colors to each icon?

Not at this time (without custom CSS of course). We’re hoping to add this feature soon.

Can I display my icons with a shortcode?

Not by default, but you can use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-shortcode/

It allows you to add the widget to an arbitrary widget area, and then you can call that widget using a shortcode elsewhere in your website.

I am building a website for a business that has a private Facebook page, and regrettably, there is no place to add any API details for this plugin, so the Facebook link doesn’t work when the icon is clicked. Also, when clicking on the icon for the Foursquare site, it comes up with an error message, although the site is easy to get to by simply visiting the URL in a browser (and I don’t even have a Foursquare account). The only link that does work for this plugin is the Yelp link. I posted a question in the support forum nearly 2 weeks ago, and have gotten no response. I also see that another person who posted a question 2 months ago has also received no response. Even checking in the instructions for using this plugin, it only gives basic info about changing the appearance of the icons, and it says to simply enter the URL of the profile for each account, but this does not resolve my situation. If I receive any assistance on this matter, I will happily change my rating.

Excellent — simple to install, easy to style — good job!

I was looking for a social plugin for my site. There are MANY to choose from, however after reading the comments on more than a few of them, some comments hinted that some of the social plugins can actually harm your page ranking on google. So I wanted something lightweight and simple that I could count on to not being doing anything more than it need to be doing. I appreciate this plugin! Thank you so much!

В шаблонах Вордпресс не отображаются иконки соцсетей.

theshulz, приветствую. Если «квадратики», то, с вероятностью в 99%, не подтянулись файлы шрифтов вроде «FontAwesome».

И что надо сделать,что бы они «подтянулись»?

theshulz, я так понимаю, что вы плагином «Clearify» себе в ногу выстрелили. Попробуйте отключить данный плагин и посмотрите, появятся ли иконки.

Для начала стоит отключить все оптимизации-минификации html и css, сбросить все кэши и посмотреть.

Я оптимизацию недавно только сделал плагином Clearfy до него то же саое было на шаблоне Jarida о сяком случае. Сейчас попробую отключить.

theshulz, у вас нужный FontAwesome упомянут в коде только в контексте Clearify:
